United Way of Cascade County will kick off its 2026 fundraising campaign with a free, family-friendly community celebration from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Gibson Park bandshell.
The event will feature live music by Cale Younce, food from the Fire Pizza food truck and drinks provided by Calumet and Bravara.
This year’s kickoff offers a chance to connect directly with the 27 local nonprofit partners supported through United Way. Representatives will share information about their missions, the people they serve and how United Way funding helps them make a difference across Cascade County.
Last year, United Way of Cascade County raised $1.2 million, helping 32,683 people through grants to local nonprofit programs focused on education, financial stability and health.
United Way also will announce its 2026 fundraising goal and recognize campaign volunteers and 38 local businesses participating as Pacesetters. The Pacesetter Campaign accounts for more than 60% of United Way’s overall campaign.
“Join us for an evening of connection, celebration and community,” United Way CEO Lacey Hallett said. “Come meet the people and organizations working every day to make Cascade County stronger and hear what we can accomplish when we work together.”
The community is invited to attend the free event and learn more about United Way’s work and local nonprofit partners.
