Back 2 School Blast is a collaborative project of multiple local agencies that hosts a special event for school-aged children and their families each August to connect them with resources and school supplies. Members of our event team include staff from Alliance for Youth, Great Falls Rescue Mission, Opportunities Inc. Community Resource Center, and United Way of Cascade County. We are also tremendously helped by the generous assistance of our local sponsors and amazing volunteers!
Together, we are able to organize free school supplies, free haircuts and hygiene items, free wellness checks, and affordable sports physicals for local families with school-aged children. These are given out at a one-day event that includes entertainment, free food, and games. Volunteers help at every stage, from stuffing backpacks in advance to setting up to helping with logistics and food on the day of and clean up after the event.
