The Prosperity Matters initiative began with conversations with nearly 100 people who were working but struggling.
Their dreams of prosperity were simple and familiar – owning a home, living debt free.
We live in a community with virtually full employment and yet nearly half of the Great Falls Public School students eat free and reduced lunch. Our caring community will not allow children to go hungry, people to go without emergency medical care or to live on the streets. When people struggle – it impacts us all, both financially and as fellow neighbors.
This report shares data that both defines the problem and gives us direction. This initiative aims not to end poverty, but instead to help working families who are a broken transmission away from the brink.
