Matthew Olson and Tiana Yates, both from the Montana Chamber, will be engaging the Great Falls business community, as well as educators, to discuss workforce issues and to promote the Great Falls Chamber’s Workforce Education Coalition. The day will begin with an executive focus group, facilitated by Matthew Olson, consisting of area business leaders and industry associations to discuss sector alliances and go over recent workforce readiness survey data, and discuss the state of local economic drivers. Later in the afternoon, Tiana Yates will be conducting professional development with area educators, providing a hands-on introduction to the Youth Entrepreneurs curriculum. There will also be discussion of the Prospects Program, which is a statewide competition for young entrepreneurs. Our community will benefit tremendously from the Youth Entrepreneurs and the Prospects Programs, as well as the Montana Chamber's other efforts to support our workforce readiness and career awareness initiatives. We place a high value on preparing students for life in the information age, outside the classroom.
