Volunteer Opportunities

United Way of Cascade County is excited to announce it now has a volunteer website with several area nonprofits already posting opportunities for volunteers to lend their minds and muscles.

People can click on the calendar tab to search for volunteer opportunities by date. To see all the opportunities listed, either click on the opportunities tab or simply click search below where it says "find a volunteer opportunity." The site also allows people to register and then when new volunteer opportunities are posted that fit their interests or skills, it will alert them with an email.

We recently held a training session to show the 20 nonprofits that United Way partners with how to use the website and got their feedback for how to improve it. Next we'll be reaching out to more than 50 other area nonprofits and the school district to train them on how to use the website to post their volunteer opportunities. Then we'll shift our focus to recruiting great volunteers and publically launching the website.

Until then we're still tweaking the site, so along with asking for your patience, please let us know your ideas to improve the site and make it more user friendly.
