Campaign Central

United Way of Cascade County kicked off its annual fundraising campaign Sept. 13, setting the ambitious goal to raise $1,175,000 -- 10 percent more than last year's record-breaking total. It's a high bar, but if everyone gives what they can, together we can make a difference in our community. We will do whatever we can to help make your employee campaigns a smashing success.

We have a full roster of nonprofit leaders and volunteers ready to speak to your business or organization about the importance of giving to United Way. You can request people from specific organizations or just contact us and we'll arrange someone who can work around your schedule.

This year, four companies -- Benefis Healthcare, NEW, Davidson Co., the Peak Health and Wellness and Stockman Bank -- are loaning employees to United Way once a week during the 10-week campaign. The loaned executives are one way we can keep our staff small and still provide our business partners with the resources they need. Whether its helping set up for a silent auction, chalk drawing, dropping off materials and signs, our loaned executives are looking for ways to help you. They work Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Contact Amy, Jason, Roger, Rachelle, Shiela or Brad by calling 727-3400 or emailing loanedstaff@uwccmt.org.

Organizing a fun or funky fundraiser not only helps build our community, but it shows employees that they work in a great place that embraces creativity. Who wouldn't want to work in a place where they hold Office Olympics? D.A. Davidson holds an annual raffle and silent auction for a variety of donated items. People who turn in their pledge forms early get extra raffle tickets. The Peak held a ping pong tournament, with all the proceeds from the $5 entry fee given to United Way. See a full list of crazy campaign ideas below. What are you doing for your company's internal campaign that makes it successful?  Email us, we want to know!
